Brain Gender
Identity Presentation
 On May 3rd, TransCentralPA
hosted Dr. Cerise Richards who presented
her theories on
"Brain Gender Identity--Why We Are, Who We Are" to
TransCentralPA members and the general public. Dr. Richards
provided a synopsis of current medical research and evidence
of gender variance in the formation of the prenatal brain as well as
the effects of prenatal endocrine disruptors on hormonal
receptors found in the prenatal brain. She explained
how gender variance is not a choice and is determined before
birth regardless of sex.
The
presentation was quite thought provoking and Dr. Richards
answered a myriad of questions from the audience.

Members and Guests Enjoy Dinner at Stocks on Second
After Dr. Cerise Richard's presentation, we met at Stock's
on Second in Harrisburg for a wonderful dinner prior to our
normal meeting. Stock's on Second is a very
Transgender-friendly establishment which has donated gift
certificates in the past for our Spring Fling Auction.
Our next social outing will be to Scott's Grille on June
7th. If you would like to join us, see the

TransCentralPA's Spring Fling '08
We would like to
extend our thanks and appreciation to everyone who donated, planned and
attended Spring Fling '08! We had over 30 people
attend our 19th annual party at Bube's Brewery in Mt.
Joy, PA. A few of our guests drove as far away as
Cleveland to attend the annual fund raiser. We
were fortunate to have the beautiful and amazingly
talented Darcie Miner (www.darcieminer.net)
perform for us. Also, through the gracious
donations of our sponsors, we raised about $600 to aid
in our continuing mission of Transgender outreach,
support and education for the community in Central
Pennsylvania. For additional pictures of the
