What's Going On

CentralPA PrideFest 2008

The 2008 Central PA Pridefest Unity Parade starts at 10:00 am Saturday, July 26th.  TransCentralPA will assemble about 9:30 am at North & Front Street in Harrisburg which is where the parade starts.  The parade ends at the festival site (by the Comfort Inn) at the bottom of Front & Vine Street.  We suggest that you park in the free lot there (on the left side of 2nd, just past the Paxton Street light as you come into Harrisburg from 83 on 2nd Street) and walk up to the assembly area.  That way you are parked early in the best place when it comes time to leave the festival!

Our Managing Director Jeanine R. is organizing the parade participation, so please let her know if you plan to march.  Remember, it’s open to not only members, but also guest, friends, spouses, significant others, kids—so come join us!  It is about a mile walk, and it's usually hot, so wear footwear and clothing that is comfortable and best projects your image of a transgender person to the public.

We will have 10 wristbands (which admits you to both the parade & festival)  for the first people to commit to marching and/or helping ‘man’ the TCPA booth.  For those people who expressed interest in helping with the booth, please contact our Outreach Director Pamela H.  Pam is handling all the details with the booth.  You can contact Pam or Jeanine via our website or by sending us an email to info@transcentralpa.org

TransCentralPA Members and Guests Enjoy Dinner at Scotts Grille

We visited Scotts Grille in downtown Harrisburg for our June outing prior to our meeting. Scotts Grille is a very Transgender-friendly establishment which has donated gift certificates in the past for our Spring Fling Auction. Our next group dinner will be on August 2nd before our group meeting. If you would like to join us, email us for details!

What's Wrong with this Picture?

This picture was taken at the 2006 PRIDE parade when we were still part of Renaissance.  We now have a new TransCentralPA banner which we will proudly be carrying in this years parade.  Come help us show off our new banner!
