Central Pennsylvania Pride Festival

July will soon be upon us and with it the
Pride Festival of Central Pennsylvania, held, as it
has been for the past 20 years, in Harrisburg’s
lovely Riverfront Park. TransCentralPA will
again participate, with our information booth
on the Festival grounds in the annual Pride
Festival.
Our very purpose as a group
depends on visibility--so that those who need caring
hearts and support in their quest to cope with
gender identity find us and so that the general
public becomes increasingly aware of our very real
presence, and learns to accept and embrace us. We
are succeeding through our cumulative effort because
of your individual effort.
We invite all of you to
participate--and ask your friends and supporters to
come join us. So that we send a needed and
powerful message to the larger Pennsylvania
community that speaks of our numbers and our place
in society and the workplace.

Last year we doubled our number
over the year before, and this year it would be
wonderful to double it again! To help insure
that, TransCentralPA offers free wristband passes to
the first people who commit in helping us staff our
booth. Remember
that our numbers send a BIG message: that we
Transgender people are a significant population of
worthy and good citizens. |
